Minister for Education to open congress

We are delighted to announce that the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, Minister for Education, will formally open the Congress next Monday morning. Please note that the Congress opening has now been moved to the earlier start time of 8.30am in Manning Clark Theatre 1.

Art in Physics display

Artworks from the physics community will be on display in the exhibition hall and in the lecture theatre complex. These include: lace work and quilting, images, paintings and video installations. Margaret Wegener and Anita Milroy will be exhibiting LABPUNK jewellery and sculpture as they described in the March issue of Australian Physics. You can contribute to the interactive “Drawing on complexity” work by artist Briony Barr and physicist Andrew Melatos. And don’t forget to visit the Congress sponsored Velocity exhibition at the ANU Drill Hall Gallery.
